Marko Jaric leaves the Brooklyn Nets
Marko Jaric (198 cm) has been released by NBA franchise the Brooklyn Nets and is now a free agent. The situation echoes last season when the veteran guard tried out with the Chicago Bulls but was released before the season started. The Serbian with a Greek passport is a hugely experienced NBA performer but in recent years he has been back in Europe playing for some of the continents biggest clubs.
During the 2010/2011 season the 35-year old played for Montepaschi Siena in Italy´s Serie A and the Euroleague. That season Marko Jaric featured in twelve Euroleague games and averaged 5.1 points per game. During the 2009/2010 season Jaric played for Real Madrid (Spain, ACB) and averaged 7.1 points and 4.2 rebounds per game from twelve Euroleague appearances.
Marko Jaric has spent much of his career in the NBA where he has played for the Memphis Grizzlies, Minnesota Timberwolves, and the Los Angeles Clippers.
