Mark Dorris to stay with Hagen

American guard Mark Dorris (188 cm, Marshall’07) has signed a contract extension with German BBL team Phoenix Hagen that will keep him with the club through the 2013-2014 season. Phoenix Hagen has been trying to keep a team that finished 8th in this seasons BBL intact for next season. The extension for Dorris follows compatriots David Bell and Larry Gordon who both recently signed new contracts.

Mark Dorris played 28 games for Hagen this season and recorded averages of 10.8ppg, 3.0rpg, and 1.6apg. Phoenix Hagen CEO Oliver Herkelmann revealed his pleasure at securing Dorris and his fellow Americans for next season, “There was no reason to wait to resign them. They aren’t only liked with their good play, but also with their character. Signing them now also should help us to be more ready for the next season,” he said.
