Salyers splits from Le Harve
Marc Salyers (205 cm, Samford´01) has parted company with French Pro A team STB Le Harve after just over a month with the team. Interestingly the forward has been in impressive form over his three games this season during which he averaged 17.0 points and 6.7 rebounds per game. Le Harve coach Eric Bartecheky said that the reason the American has been dismissed has nothing to do with his quality.
“I love this player, we know his qualities of game; I wish I had from the beginning of the season. This is not at all in relation to the quality of the player.”
Marc Salyers joined STB after a stint in Libya playing for Al Moutahed during the 2012/2013 season and over his 38 games he averaged 22.1 points and 8.9 rebounds per game. The 34-year old took to twitter to express his shock at being released by Le Harve.
I’m Shocked and Disappointed, but I wish Le Havre the best, great city, great people and great fans. Sorry it didn’t work out.
