Malcolm Armstead inks with AEK Athens

Malcolm Armstead (183 cm, Wichita State’13) will be reinforcing the backcourt of AEK Athens (Greece-A1) after moving to the club this 2015-16. The 26-year-old Armstead began the season playing for Avtodor Saratov (Russia-VTB). He played four games for them in the ongoing Eurocup and averaged 13.0 ppg and 4.5 apg. Malcolm was also able to log seven games in the VTB United League and there he produced averages of 13.7 ppg and 5.4 apg.

Malcom spent the last two seasons on the roster of Krk Novo Mesto (Slovenia-Telemach League). In 2014-15 the 25-year-old Armstead played 25 games for Krka in the Adriatic league and was able to put together solid averages of 17.6 ppg and 4.3 apg. He also was able to appear in 22 games in the domestic Slovenian league and there he produced averages of 9.4 ppg and 2.0 apg.
