Luka Doncic Hails Tatum and Brown as NBA’s Best Duo
Luka Doncic gave his thought on who the current NBA’s best duo is.
Who is the NBA’s Best Duo?
Apparently, Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic has an answer to this question. After the Mavericks lost a 125-112 game against the Boston Celtics, Luka had high praises for his opponents. The young Slovenian superstar said that the Celtics have the best duo in the league, that being Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. In the game against the Mavericks, Tatum tallied 37 points, 13 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 blocks, while Brown came through with 31 points, four rebounds, four assists, and two steals. The Celtics’ wing duo again carried the lion’s share of the workload, and they did it efficiently, committing just four turnovers in total.
According to Tim Bontemps of ESPN, Tatum and Brown are currently the highest-scoring tandem in the NBA. Tatum is averaging 30.6 points and Brown is norming 25.6 markers. They are the head of the snake of the top-ranked offense (119.5) in the league, and they are very good on the defensive end of the floor too. Tatum and Brown are just entering the peak years of their respective careers, so it is scary to think that they still have a lot of time and opportunities to expand their skill sets.
After going to the NBA Finals last season, there’s no doubt that the Celtics’ wing duo is hungry for more. They were defeated by Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors, but they sure earned the respect of the league. The championship-chasing Celtics squad is currently sporting a record of 14 wins against 4 losses, which is good for the top spot in the Eastern Conference standings. After the win against the Mavericks, the Celtics will have upcoming assignments against the Sacramento Kings and the Washington Wizards.
