Luca Banchi, new head coach of EA7 Armani

Luca Banchi is going to be the new head coach of EA7 Emporio Armani Milano from Italy’s SerieA. Banchi is replacing Sergio Scariolo. Banchi is still currently under contract with Montepaschi Siena (Italy-SerieA) and should have his two-season contract with Milano made official after the SerieA finals.

Luca Banchi was promoted to head coach of Montepaschi during the 2012-13 season after spending six seasons on their bench as an assistant coach (2006-2012).  He was selected as to coach the of the Italian SerieA All-Star Game in 2013. Banchi also led Montepaschi to finish as a finalist in the Italian Supercup that same year.
