Lubos Barton returns to USK Praha
Lubos Barton (202 cm, Valparaiso’02) is returning to USK Praha from the Czech Republic’s NBL. Barton briefly left the team to play for the New Yorker Phantoms Braunschweig from Germany’s BBL. He played five games for the Phantoms during his short stint and he averaged 4.4 ppg and 3.8 rpg.
He originally signed with USK Praha in December 2012 and played five games for them and logged averages of 17.4 ppg and 7.4 rpg. So it’s a homecoming of sorts for this Czech player as he plays once gain on his home soil.
In the 2011-12 season, Barton played for Baloncesto Fuenlabrada from Spain’s ACB. He played 15 games for them in the Spanish league and averaged 6.1 ppg and 4.7 rpg. He also represented the club in the EuroChallenge and logged seven games for them and notched averages of 7.9 ppg and 4.9 rpg. Later in the season he moved to FIATC Joventut Badalona, also from Spain’s ACB. He played 11 games there and averaged 6.4 ppg and 3.7 rpg.
