Linton Johnson released by Pistoia

Giorgio Tesi Group Pistoia (Italy-SerieA) has decided to part ways with veteran forward Linton Johnson (203 cm, Tulane’02). The 34-year-old Johnson signed with the Italian club in August this season and played 11 games for them before his release. In 29 minutes per game Linton produced averages of 9.5 ppg and 9.0 rpg.

He played for two teams from the same Italian league in 2013-14. He began the season with Banco di Sardegna Sassari where he averaged 8.4 ppg and 5.9 rpg in 14 games. Linton also played 11 Eurocup games for Sassari and produced averages of 8.4 ppg and 6.2 rpg.

In January 2014 Johnson moved to Cimberio Varese (Italy-SerieA) and he managed to deliver averages of 7.7 ppg and 7.8 rpg in 13 games in the Italian league.
