Lester Prosper joins Cheshire Phoenix
The Cheshire Phoenix (United Kingdom-BBL) have landed Lester Prosper (208 cm, Old Westbury’11) for the 2014-15 season and the player will reinforce their frontcourt. Prosper, who hails from the British Virgin Islands, initially signed with Russian club Spartak Primorie Vladivostok (Superleague) for the season, but it appears he will instead be continuing his career in the BBL instead.
Lester spent time with Al Wehda Mecca (Saudi Arabia-Premier League) and the Caribbean Heat de Cartagena (Colombia-Liga Direct TV). During the 2012-13 season he played in Canada’s NBL, starting with the Moncton Miracles where he averaged 9.9 ppg and 9.4 rpg in 7 games. In December 2012 he moved to the Windsor Express (Canada-NBL) and there he logged 24 games and averaged 7.9ppg and 7.7 rpg. Finally, in March 2013 he settled in with the Oshawa Power. He played five games for them and was able to average 5.0 ppg and 4.2 rpg.
