LeBron James Sets Record As Cavs Tie Series 2-2
LeBron James dropped a game-high 44 points on Monday to power the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 111-102 win over the Boston Celtics to even the Eastern Conference Finals series to 2-2. Not only did the King come up with a dominating performance but he also made history by passing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for most field goals made in the playoffs. Off a jumper, James scored his 2,357th point, passing Abdul-Jabbar (2,356).
The Cavs fell into a 0-2 to the overachieving Celtics. LeBron and company regrouped and found a way to tie up the series once again. George Hill and Tristan Thompson helped James on the scoring front with 13 points apiece.
To their credit, the Celtics played well, with all of their starters chipping in with double-digit scoring efforts. Jaylen Brown paced the Celts with a 25-point effort.
A Celtics win for the East Title is not a foregone conclusion. LeBron and the Cavaliers are clearly refusing to gentle into that good night. This series is heating up and is some of today’s top must-watch basketball right now.
