Kristaps Valters extends with Turk Telekom

Turk Telekom Ankara (Turkey-TBL) has agreed to terms on a contract extension with Latvian import Kristaps Valters (190 cm), keeping him with the club this 2015/16. Kristaps played 25 games for Turk Telekom in 2014/15, after joining them in December 2014. Valters was able to register averages of 10.0 ppg and 3.3 apg. Before signing with Turk Telekom Kristaps originally began the season playing for BK Barons Kvartas Riga (Latvia-LBL). He played four games for them in the Baltic league and averaged 16.5 ppg and 5.5 apg. He also was able to log eight games in the domestic Latvian league and there he produced averages of 12.0 ppg and 4.5 apg.
