Kentrell Gransberry joins Atletico Bigua
Kentrell Gransberry (206 cm, South Florida’08) has agreed terms with Atletico Bigua from Montevideo, Uruguay. Gransberry has plenty of experience in Latin America. He has played several seasons in Mexico, Puerto Rico and Venezuela as well as other parts of the world like Turkey and France. His last team was Marinos de Anzoategui from Venezuela (LPB) where he averaged 6.2 ppg and 4.8 rpg. Kentrell Gransberry had a successful college career with South Florida and some projected him to have an NBA career after he was voted an All-Big East 1st Team selection and averaged 16 ppg and 10.8 rpg. He also showed a strong performance at the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament (11.3 ppg and 8 rpg) and individual NBA work-outs. Nevertheless, he was never drafted and took his career overseas. Kentrell Gransberry scored 22 points and had 17 rebounds in his first game for his new team Atletico Bigua.
