Keith Langford heads to Kazan
Fresh from winning the Italian Serie A with EA7 Milan, Keith Langford (193 cm, Kansas’05) has left the champs and signed for Unics Kazan (Russia, VTB League). The guard has probably been brought in to fill the void of Andrew Goudelock, who left Unics this week for Fenerbahce (Turkey, TBL). Langford is the kind of player who can fill Goudelock’s shoes and chose Kazan despite rumoured attention from NBA franchise the Philadelphia 76ers.
Keith Langford has spent the last two seasons with Milan and the 2013/2014 campaign was a particularly memorable one. As he helped Milan to the league title, the 31-year old featured in 43 games and averaged 16.7 points and 3.1 rebounds per appearance. His form in the Euroleague was even better and he played a pivotal role in helping Milan reach the quart final stage. Langford finished as the best scorer in Europe’s elite competition and picked up stats of 17.6 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 2.8 assists from 25 games.
