Justin Hamilton 5th player leaving Cibona
Former 2nd round draft pick Justin Hamilton (210 cm, LSU’12) has left Adriatic League team Cibona Zagreb from Croatia. After Ante Mašić, Dustin Ware, Smush Parker and Tomislav Zubčić he is the 5th player to leave the former European champion. In addition, Sports Director Nikola Prkačin recently also left the club and before him head coach Veljko Mršić.
Cibona has great financial difficulties. Not only in regards to this season, but dating back to previous ones as well. The club is currently third from the bottom in the Adriatic League with a 6-12 record.
Justin Hamilton was averaging 8.1 ppg and 5.6 rpg in the Adriatic league. He has already found a new job and according to unconfirmed reports he will be replaced by Mario Kasun! The Croatian ex-NBA player left Euroleague team Montepaschi Siena from Italy in December and is currently a free agent. He could join Cibona Zagreb (for free?) to rehab from a minor injury and stay in shape until he finds another club.

What the heck they’ve made up with club?
Being legendary club, the brandname and top sports “face” of Zagreb and whole country, they’ve raised competitors and now are socking wet and going down.
A bit of chaos in Zagreb.
That’s “a bit” of an understatement.
