Justin Gray leaves Poitiers
Justin Gray (188 cm, Wake Forest ’06) has left French Pro A team Union Poitiers Basket 86. He played 17 games with them and averaged 8.9 ppg and 3.0 apg. Towards the end of last season he played two games for the Greek A1 League team Enosi Kalathosfairisis Kavalas, where he averaged 4 ppg and 1 apg. Justin Gray spent the majority of last year in the German BBL while playing 8 games for Fraport Skyliners. He averaged impressive stats of 16.0 ppg, and 3.5 apg. Prior to that he has also played in China, Ukraine, Belgium, Czech Republic and Poland where he was selected to Polish League All-Star Game in 2010. While playing for CEZ Nymburk in NBL, they won the regular season Championship and League Championship along with the Czech Republic League Cup in 2009.
He averaged 18.2 ppg and 4.3 apg for Wake Forest in the ACC where he played in the shadow of Chris Paul who was also his roommate. His highest stats for Wake Forest were in the year after Chris Paul left, when he finished in top 10 in six conference categories. He left the ACC finishing 7th all time in career three point field goals with 319. Despite being voted to the All-ACC 1st Team and playing for USA U21 National Team in 2004, he wasn’t drafted in the NBA.
