Josh Selby decides on Qingdao
Josh Selby (187cm, Kansas´11) will play pro ball for the first time outside of the United States this season after agreeing terms with Qingdao Eagles (China, CBA). The point guard has recently been in action during the NBA Pro Summer League in Las Vegas where he played for the LA Lakers over five games and averaged 2.0 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game.
Last season the American was in the D-League after an earlier position with the Cleveland Cavaliers (NBA) failed to materialize into a consistent place on the roster. Josh Selby started the season with the Canton Charge where he averaged 15.3 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game. The 23-year old later moved to the Maine Red Claws where he played twelve games and secured averages of 13.6 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 3.2 assists.
Selby played for the Memphis Grizzlies (NBA) during the 2011/2012 season, playing 27 games and averaging 2.3 points and 1.1 assists per game.
