Josh Boone signs with United
Josh Boone (208 cm, Connecticut’06) is making his way to Australia this 2016-17 after landing a deal with Melbourne United (Australia-NBL). He began the season on the roster of Pinar Karsiyaka SK Izmir (Turkey-BSL). Josh played just one game for them and he scored four points, grabbed four rebounds, got three steals and two blocks.
The veteran big man signed on with BC Khimky Moscow Region (Russia-VTB) in January 2016. He played six games for them in the Euroleague and averaged 5.7 ppg and 4.8 rpg. Josh also played 18 games for Khimky in the VTB United league where he recorded averages of 11.4 ppg and 5.9 rpg. Boone moved to Khimky after starting the 2015-16 season on the roster of BC Kalev/Cramo Tallinn (Estonia-Alexela KML). He played 14 games for his former club in the VTB United league and averaged 13.4 ppg and 11.5 rpg. He also appeared in six games in the FIBA Europe Cup and there he managed to put together averages of 12.2 ppg and 6.3 rpg. Josh logged seven games in the domestic Estonian league and there he produced averages of 12.6 ppg and 8.7 rpg.
