Jordan Williams arrested for kidnapping

Jordan Williams (208 cm, Maryland’11) was arrested last week after a juvenile was kidnapped, robbed and assaulted on Thanksgiving. According to a press release sent out by the Torrington Police Department, the “juvenile victim was kidnapped at knifepoint, had clothes and items removed from him and was forced to a residence in Torrington where the juvenile was then assaulted before being able to flee from the house and find help. The incident was allegedly over a bad drug deal and revenge for the loss.”

Jordan Williams was a star at Maryland where he averaged 16.9 ppg and 11.8 rpg. He was drafted in the 2nd round by New Jersey Nets in 2011 and played 43 games for them during the 2011/2012 season.

He also flirted with European teams Zastal Zielona Gora (Poland) and Gescrap Bizkaia Bilbao Basket (Spain). But things did not work out. In the summer of 2014 Jordan Williams had a workout with the Boston Celtic and Utah Jazz but after that, his basketball career came to an end.
