Johnson-Odom joins St. Petersburg

Spartak Sankt Petersburg (Russia, PBL) are welcoming 24-year old American point guard Darius Johnson Odom (187 cm, Marquette’12) to their ranks. Johnson Odom is only in his first year as a pro player, but he is already clocking up the air miles while also posting some impressive averages. In 2012, he was drafted by the Dallas Mavericks but only pre-seasoned with the NBA franchise before moving to the Los Angeles Lakers.

During the first half of this season with the LA Lakers, Johnson Odom played four times but only reaped six minutes in game time before being shipped out to the Los Angeles D-Fenders (D-Leauge). With the D-Fenders he managed to average impressively in his 13 games, boasting a 21.0ppg, 5.2rpg, 5.2apg, and 1.3spg record between November 2012 and January 2013.
