Johnny O’Bryant finally signs with Crvena Zvezda
In the last couple of days, there was much talk and speculation about Johnny O’Bryant (204 cm, F/C) and his expected signing with Crvena Zvezda, and now the moment is finally here. Crvena Zvezda (“Red Star”) announced the signing on Monday night, and Johnny O’Bryant is expected in Belgrade shortly. Initially, O’Bryant had signed back with Lokomotiv Kuban from Russia, which he had also played for last season. However, Johnny O’Bryant left the team in September and returned back to the US. Now, he was picked up by the Serbian Champion, who could use some extra help in the Euroleague.O’Bryant was drafted in the 2nd round (36 overall) of 2014 by the Milwaukee Bucks after an impressive college career with LSU (15.4 ppg and 7.7 rpg and All-SEC 1st Team). Earlier in his career, Johnny O’Bryant had also played for the US U16 and U17 National team. After he was drafted, he played for the Milwaukee Bucks and Charlotte Hornets before he crossed the Atlantic and signed with Maccabi Tel Aviv from Israel in 2018.
