Jermaine Taylor departs Hapoel Tel Aviv
Former NBA guard Jermaine Taylor (193 cm, Central Florida’09) has decided to leave Hapoel Tel Aviv (Winners League, Israel) after just a few weeks with the team. American Taylor had managed to play just two games for Tel Aviv, where he averaged 12ppg. He has decided to leave the team to sign for Shanxi Zhongyu (China) where he will play out the rest of the season.
Jermaine Taylor had joined Tel Aviv from Spanish team Lagun Aro Gipuzkoa BC (ACB) in early January 2013, so his move to China will amazingly see him playing for his third team in a matter of weeks. He had played 10 games for Lagun Aro and recorded 8.8 ppg and 3.1 rpg. Taylor has been in the NBA since graduating from Central Florida in 2009. He played 32 games for the Houston Rockets between 2009 and 2011 before joining the Sacramento Kings during the 2010-2011 season where he played 26 games and averaged 7.1 ppg and 1.2 apg.
