Monschau leaves Nancy

Jean-Luc Monschau the long term head coach of SLUC Nancy Baskets of the French ProA has revealed that he is leaving the club after nine seasons. The tactician joined with Nancy SLUC in 2004 from fellow ProA team Gravelines and for the most part kept Nancy competing within the upper reaches of the ProA. The Frenchman secured two ProA titles for the team in 2008 and 2011 while he also finished regular season winner in 2007.

This season proved to be particularly disastrous for both Jean-Luc Monschau and Nancy as the team limped to a 14th place finish in the ProA standings. With a dismal 12-18 record the team only just staved off dropping into the ProB and finished just two places off relegation.
