Jarvis Hayes heads to Ploiesti

Jarvis Hayes (201 cm, Georgia’03) will play in Romania for the first time after penning with Liga Nationala champions CSU Asesoft Ploiesti. The swingman has signed a one year deal and is coming off the back of a season with Sidigas Avellino (Italy, Serie A). He played 27 games for the club and picked up averages of 9.4 points and 3.6 rebounds per game.

The American with a Qatari passport has also played in Turkey, Russia, and Israel, but is still best known for his time in the NBA. Jarvis Hayes played extensively for the Washington Wizard over four seasons, playing in 230 games during his stint with the team. He later moved to the Detroit Pistons and played for the franchise over a single season before moving to the New Jersey Nets and spending two terms there.

Through his NBA career Jarvis Hayes featured in 427 regular season games and averaged 8.3 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game.
