James Washington joins Verviers-Pepinster

James Washington (182 cm, Middle Tennessee State’11) is moving to VOO Wolves Verviers-Pepinster (Belgium-Ethias League) this 2014. The Wolves are currently eighth in the Belgian league standings with a record of 6-21. Washington is likely being brought in to reinforce the team’s backcourt. The 26-year-old guard is coming from KFUM Nassjo Basket from Sweden’s Basketligan. In 36 games in the Swedish league James averaged 17.0 ppg and 3.9 apg.

In 2012-13 Washington played for BG Topstar Leitershofen/Stadtbergen (Germany-ProB). He appeared in 15 games for them and posted averages of 20.0 ppg and 4.5 apg.
