James Farr agrees with Chalon-Sur-Saone
James Farr (208 cm, Xavier ’16) inks a deal with ES Chalon-Sur-Saone (France-Pro A). This will be his second professional team in the beginning stages of his career. Last season, the 24-year-old forward made his European debut with TLI-Alba Fehervar (Hungary-A Division). The team went through a very productive 2016/2017 season where they finished the regular season in first place in the A Division with a 27-11 record.
Farr appeared in 56 games last year with Alba. He primarily came off the bench, averaging 17.8 mpg in A Division play. Despite the lack of consistent playing time, the American still managed to score 9.1 ppg and grab 4.3 rpg. He is not afraid to shot the ball from deep, but only made 30.9 percent of his three-point attempts last season. Farr’s ability to score should come in handy for his new team.
The team he is joining is coming off a great season. They finished second in the Pro A with a 27-7 record and went on to win the Cup in the playoffs. Chalon also competed in the European Cup where they won Group K. The French team made a deep run in the European Cup playoffs all the way to the finals. However, they came up short from bringing home another title with a loss to Nanterre (France-Pro A). Another quality season should be on the horizon for Chalon.
