Jackson Vroman Found Dead at L.A. Home
Former international player Jackson Vroman (208 cm, Iowa State’04) was found dead at his Los Angeles home on Monday. He was 34. The cause of his death was not available, pending on the accomplishment of the investigator’s preliminary report. Vroman was an American player who also held Lebanese citizenship. Jackson was a former member of the Lebanese national team in 2009-10. The team’s official Twitter account initially tweeted that Vroman passed away in a tragic car accident.
The former Iowa State Cyclone was originally drafted by Cedar Rapids River Raiders (USA-USBL), then later picked up by Phoenix Suns. Jackson was injured in his rookie season and later traded to the New Orleans Hornets. That year he played 36 games and averaged 5.4 ppg and 4.5 rpg.
Jackson last played for Capitanes de Arecibo (Puerto Rico-BSN) where he played three games in the Liga Americas.
