Igokea bags fifth straight Bosnia and Herzegovina D1 title
BC Igokea Aleksandrovac has done it again. The team has captured its fifth-straight Bosnia and Herzegovina D1 title. They won Game 5 of their finals series against KK Bosna-Royal Sarajevo, 96-72. Igokea has been a powerful force in domestic competition since 2013 and has been tough to handle in the league.
Igokea led in this game from start to finish, rushing to an early advantage and the defending champions never looked back. Bosna-Royal tried their best to put up a defensive effort but Igokea were better on the boards and the assists department. It was Igokea’s defense that would limit Bosna-Royal’s ability to cut into their lead. Their offense was stifled all throughout the game and they could not find any answers.
James Robinson led four other Igokea players who scored in double figures with 17 points. Blaz Mahkovic and Djordje Milosevic chipped in 13 points each.
Bosna-Royal’s top scorer was Marko Josilo who finished the game with 14 points.
