Germani Brescia keeps rolling, now 6-0 in Serie A
It’s been a good start for Germani Basket Brescia this 2017-18 season. The club is sporting a perfect 6-0 record in the Italian Serie A. Round 6 of the regular season was completed on Sunday, November 5th. Germani Brescia’s latest victim was Grissin Bon Reggio Emilia, which they defeated 79-68. Three teams are hot on their trail with 5-1 records. They are FIAT Torino, EA7 Armani, and Umana Reyer Venezia.
The 15th ranked Grissin Bon was outgunned by the league leaders. Germani Brescia was in full control of the game from start to finish. Their solid ball movement and good shot selection translated into a game where they made it easy to pick apart their opponent’s defenses.
A balanced attack by Germani Brescia allowed them to overcome a game-high 21-point performance by Grissin Bon’s Julian Wright. Not even Jalen Reynolds’ huge double-double of 13 points and 16 rebounds was enough to slow down Brescia’s reserves from keeping the momentum in their favor.
Marcus Landry led the victors with 15 points, eight of which came at the free throw line. Dario Hunt chipped in with 14 points of his own.
Germani’s next opponent will be Betaland Capo d’Orlando and they are favored to keep their impressive winning streak alive after Round 7.
