German BBL: Wuerzburg Surges to Top with 5-0 Start
s.Oliver Baskets Wuerzburg is the top team in Germany’s easyCredit BBL right now. They are in the midst of a scorching-hot run and are the last remaining undefeated team in the league with a 5-0 record. They have revamped their offense and have been sharing the ball quite well. Their offensive game has been on point so far this 2017-18 but they have also been able to balance it with some solid defense.
The most recent team to fall to Wuerzburg were the Walter Tigers Tuebingen (0-5). Wuerzburg managed an impressive win with a score of 84-69. They put on a clinic and had 22 assists compared to 13 by Tuebingen. The also dominated on the glass with a 32-23 advantage.
Robin Benzing led the charge for Wuerzburg with a game-high 19 points. The team had a balanced attack. The starters and the reserves contributed in this successful game. So far, so good for Wuerzburg. The team has managed to dictate the terms of their games and as a result, have come out victorious. How long can they keep this up?
