FIBA Asia Cup: Day 4
Day four of the FIBA Asia Cup saw two blow-outs in Group A, a tight game between Iran and Chinese Taipei, and India being the first team eliminated.
The Group A games were both massive blow-outs as the Philippines squad gave Macau their third lopsided contest of the Cup, 98-46. China handed Uzbekistan the same fate with a 107-47 drubbing, but despite their 1-2 record and a final match up with Lebanon, a trip to the Quarter-Finals is in their reach.
Group B was more balanced, but undefeated Japan gave India their fourth and final loss of the tournament, 90-72, and they’ll be watching the rest of the competition from the side. Iran also remained unbeaten with a 71-63 win over Qatar, setting up a battle of the undefeated today between China and Iran.
The Quarter-Finals begin on Wednesday with the top four from each group squaring off.
