Anadolu Efes Istanbul 81-76 FC Bayern Munich
Efes pushed closer to finishing fifth in the regular season when it downed Bayern 81-76 in their rescheduled Round 19 game on Tuesday. Efes improved to 16-11 with the victory. Bayern fell to 13-14 and is now sure of finishing in eighth place and, therefore, will meet top-seeded FC Barcelona in the upcoming playoffs. Shane Larkin led the winners with 20 points, while Adrien Moerman had 17. Bayern got 15 from Augustine Rubit and 11 from Zan Sisko.
ALBA Berlin 87-76 Panathinaikos OPAP Athens
ALBA gave its fans reason to celebrate as it knocked off Panathinaikos 87-76 in a Round 19 makeup game in its final home game of the season. ALBA dominated the offensive rebounds and made 14 three-pointers in winning the third of its last four games to improve to 12-15. Oscar da Silva paced the winners with 16 points, and Christ Koumadje tallied 12 points and eight rebounds. Panathinaikos suffered its fifth loss in the last seven games to fall to 8-19. Nemanja Nedovic was the Greens’ top scorer with 27 points.
