EUROHOLD BIBL will include 10 teams in 2012/2013
A total of 10 teams will play in the EUROHOLD Balkan League in the 2012/2013 season, as there will be a new competition format and they will be divided in three groups – two groups with 4 teams each and one group with 3 teams.
The teams that have confirmed their participation so far are the following:
Bulgaria: Levski Sofia and Rilski Sportist Samokov
Both teams will play in the EUROHOLD Balkan League for the fifth straight season, as those two sides are the first and second BIBL champions.
Croatia: KK Brod-Svjetlost
The Croatian side returns to the BIBL after a pause from one season, and after a good performance in their domestic championship in the past campaign.
Israel: Galil Gilboa
The Israeli outfit, who won the BIBL championship in their debut participation in the competition remain in the League for one more season, as they are set to defend their title.
Montenegro: KK Mornar Bar and Teodo Tivat
KK Mornar Bar already established themselves as one of the most talented and young teams to ever play in the Balkan League, while the other side from Montenegro – Teodo Tivat are set for their debut.
Serbia: OKK Beograd
OKK Beograd continues the tradition to be the Serbian participant in the EUROHOLD Balkan League, as the team from the capital of Serbia is an example for what the BIBL is all about – relying on local talented players.
The management of the League is still waiting for the names of the teams from Macedonia and Romania, as they remain positive that the cooperation between the BIBL and those two national federations will continue into the new season as well.
