Earl Barron heads to Qingdao
Earl Barron (212 cm, Memphis´03) will not be returning to the NBA this season after signing a deal to play in China for Qingdao Double Star Eagles (CBA). The center has played consistently in the NBA since 2004 but has also headed off to other countries such as Puerto Rico and the Philippines. The American will now add China to the list.
Earl Barron has an extremely varied NBA career and has played for seven franchises mostly from the bench. Last season he featured for both the Washington Wizards and the New York Knicks. For the Wizards he averaged 2.5 points and 3.9 rebounds from eleven games. For the Knicks he played just one game.
During the 2010/2011 season Barron played twelve games for the Phoenix Suns while also taking to the court that season for the Portland Trailblazers and the Milwaukee Bucks. The 32-year old has also played for the Orlando Magic and the Miami Heat.
