EA7 Armani tops JuveCaserta 74-78 in Serie A
With 10 games remaining in the regular season, EA7 Armani has locked up a playoff berth in the Italian Serie A with their 74-78 win over Pasta Reggia JuveCaserta. The league leader is now 17-3 and is five full games ahead of its closest competitor. The loss sends JuveCaserta down to 12th place with their 9-11 record. They are not out of the running but will need to string together a big win streak in order to vie for a spot in the knockout rounds.
JuveCaserta started the game strong and led out 9-5 early on. Armani would respond with their own run, but the hosts held strong and did not relinquish their lead. At the end of the first frame, JuveCaserta managed to keep their advantage with a 20-17 lead.

Armani would turn things around in their favor in the second quarter on some solid defense. The game would remain close, with the Milanese guests securing a slim, 35-37 lead at the break.
In the end, JuveCaserta’s tight rotation would buckle under Armani’s depth and defense. Edgar Sosa put up a valiant effort for the Pasta makers with a game-high 25 points. He would get some help from teammate Mitchell Watt, who chipped in 20 points of his own.
Mantas Kalneitis would pace the Armani squad with 17 points.
