Doron Lamb inks deal with GS Lavrio
Doron Lamb (193 cm, Kentucky ’12) is heading to GS Lavrio (Greece-A1). Playing in Greece will be a new experience for the 25-year-old guard. The team he is joining finished eighth in the A1 last season with an 11-15 record. They exited the A1 playoffs in the first round with a loss to PAOK (Greece-A1) in two games. Lamb will add quality depth to the guard position with the ability to shoot from deep. The stage should not be too big for Lamb either as he experienced time in the NBA during the 2013/2014 season with the Orlando Magic and the year prior with the Milwaukee Bucks.
Most recently, Lamb was in the D-League playing with the Westchester Knicks last season. There, he scored 12.1 ppg coming off the bench including 3.3 rpg and 1.6 apg in 42 games. Spotting up for threes is Lamb’s specialty. With the D-league team, he shot 37.8 percent from beyond the arch.
Lamb spent most of his career trying to make an NBA roster spot in the D-League. He played on three different teams in the D-League since being drafted in the middle of the second round of the 2012 NBA draft by the Milwaukee Bucks. The American guard has spent one other season playing overseas. In the 2015/2016 season, Lamb was a member of KK Buducnost Voli Podgorica (Montenegro-Erste Liga) but just for three games. He then signed with JSF Nanterre (France-Pro A) where he played in 15 games averaging 6.4 ppg. Now he will be back in Europe for the second time in his career.
