Donald Cole heads to Hoops Club
Donald Cole (203 cm, Sam Houston ’03) is making the move to Hoops club (Lebanon-Pepsi LBL). The highly experienced 35-year-old forward heads to Lebanon to join a struggling Hoops team. Right now, they are 3-15 on the season which is tied for last in the Pepsi LBL. The team adds Cole for his scoring and rebounding skills.
Cole was with Al Ain Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates-D1) a season ago. There he scored 28.7 ppg while grabbing 11.3 rpg. The big man has the ability to score off pick-and-pop with a three-point shot or even roll to the basket and finish around the rim. His style should translate over for his new team. Cole is a well-traveled player. He’s played in Cole has Bulgaria, France, Hungary, Luxembourg, Oman, Poland, Saudi Arabia, United Kingdom, Venezuela, FYR Macedonia, Lebanon and Kuwait since going pro in 2003. The Harlem Globetrotters also ran Cole out onto the floor for entertainment purposes in 2005.
