Dirk Nowitzki achieves career milestone
In the Dallas Mavericks’ 111-122 win over the Los Angeles Lakers, future Hall-of-Famer, Dirk Nowitzki made NBA history by joining an elite and exclusive club. The German superstar became the sixth player to score 30,000 points. It’s an amazing feat, by any stretch of the imagination, especially when you consider the handful of players who have done it ahead of him. Nowitzki joins Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Kobe Bryant, Wilt Chamberlain, Michael Jordan, and Karl Malone as the only players to achieve this scoring landmark.
He is playing in his 19th season in the league and has spent its entirety with the Dallas Mavericks. He won an NBA Title for them in 2011. Dirk is a 13-time All-Star and has been one of the molds with which modern day stretch fours are measured against. Expect him to be a candidate to be inducted into the Hall of Fame as soon as possible. Dirk Nowitzki is often ranked as number one among the best European basketball players of all time.
