Dionte Christmas picked up by AEK Athens

AEK Athens (Greece-A1) is strengthening its backcourt rotation for the remainder of the season with the addition of Dionte Christmas (196 cm, Temple’09) this 2016. He initially began the 2015-16 season playing on the roster of Hapoel Holon (Israel-Winner League). He played six games for them before his departure last month. During his brief run with the Israeli club, he produced averages of 5.7 ppg and 1.8 apg.

In 2014-15 his last few days in the NBA were spent hopping from the Phoenix Suns and the New Orleans Pelicans. After his eventual release, Dionte headed to Europe where he signed with Paris-Levallois (France-Pro A). He played 27 games for them in the French league and averaged 10.5 ppg and 2.4 rpg. He also played 14 games for them in the Eurocup where he posted averages of 6.3 ppg
