Dionte Christmas joins Montepaschi Siena

Dionte Christmas (196 cm, Temple’09) has been signed by Montepaschi Siena from Italy’s Serie A. He started the 2012-13 season as part of the Boston Celtics during the NBA’s pre-season but was released by the team.

In October 2012 Christmas joined CSKA Moskow from Russia’s PBL. He played eight games for them in the VTB United League and averaged 5.5 ppg and 2.0 rpg. In the Russian League he managed to log six games for CSKA Moskow and averaged 3.8 ppg and 2.2 rpg. He also played for them in the Euroleague where he played 14 games and averaged 6.5 ppg and 1.1 rpg. He was released by the team in February 2013.
