Dimitri Lauwers signs with Verona

Tezenis Verona (Italy, Lega2) has announced the signing of Belgian guard Dimitri Lauwers (187 cm) for the remainder of the campaign. Lauwers has yet to play this season as he has been between clubs but he will now hit the court with a Verona team that is currently 9th in the Lega 2 standings with an 8-11 record.

Lauwers started the 2011-2012 season with Sidigas Avellino (Italy, Serie A) where he stayed until March 2012 and played 20 games. In March 2012 the Belgian headed back to his homeland to play with Oostende (Belgium, D1) where he won the Etihas League and averaged 4.4ppg and 1.8rpg over 14 games.
