D.J. Kennedy inks with Ludwigsburg
D.J. Kennedy (198 cm, St. John’s’11) has signed with MHP RIESEN Ludwigsburg (Germany-BBL) for the rest of the 2014/15 season. He recently left Russian club Krasny Oktyabr Volgograd after playing a total of seven games for the team this 2014-15 season. Kennedy played four games for them in the VTB United league and averaged 19.3 ppg and 6.0 rpg. He also played in three games for them in Eurocup action and there the 25-year-old player notched averages of 16.3 ppg and 6.3 rpg. D.J. started the 2013-14 season with the Dallas Mavericks but was released by the team in October 2013. The player then headed in France and signed with Gravelines Dunkerque Grand Littoral (Pro A). He played four games for them in the Eurocup and was able to average 11.0 ppg and 3.0 rpg. He played the same number of games in the French Pro A league and there he averaged 9.5 ppg and 2.8 rpg. In January 2014 he moved to Hapoel Holon from Israel’s Winner league where he posted averages of 12.1 ppg and 3.0 rpg through 19 games.
