Cyrus Tate joins Ironi Nes-Ziona

Cyrus Tate (203 cm, Iowa’09) has been signed by Ironi Nes-Ziona from Israel’s National League. He is coming off a stint with the Huracanes de Tampico from Mexico’s LNBP. He signed with them in early 2013 and played a total of seven games. In that span he averaged 15.1 ppg and 5.4 rpg. He transferred there from the Oita Heat Devils from Japan’s BJ League. There he averaged 15.4 ppg and 5.8 rpg in 25 games.

Ironi Nes-Ziona are sitting atop their league’s standings at this stage with a record of 15-3. They are hoping that the addition of Tate to the team’s frontcourt will be a significant boost to their post-season push.
