CSKA wins game 3 and takes 2-1 lead in VTB League semi-finals

Game 3 of the VTB League semi-finals started evenly contested. A sow tempo and aggressive defense on both ends contributed to a low score. At the end of the first quarter, CSKA went on a 9-point run, primarily led by Will Clyburn, and got a 17-13 lead.

In the second quarter CSKA kept their line and would not let their opponent get close. At halftime the score was 44-38.

The third quarter showed the same picture as before. Zenit started strong and cut the deficit to only one point, but CSKA stepped up, and at the end of the third quarter, they had a comfortable lead again 70-64.

In the last ten minutes of the game CSKA was in full control and never let Zenit come any closer.

Will Clayburn (CSKA) was the man of the match with 24 points and 5 rebounds. The next games is on the 24th of May.
