Crvena Zvezda secures 1st place in ABA regular season ahead of playoffs
Crvena Zvezda Belgrade has sealed 1st place in the Adriatic League regular season ahead of the Playoffs. The Serb team triumphed on the road against Zadar from Croatia in the final round of the regular season.
The red-and-whites knew before the match that only a win would secure them the top spot on the standings, so they took this game very seriously. The visitors from Belgrade were dominant from the very start and delivered a decisive blow already in the opening quarter in which they took an 18-point lead. With this victory, Crvena Zvezda has now finished the regular ABA season with a 23-3 record. They are now waiting to see who will be their opponent in the playoff semi-finals.
On the other hand, Zadar’s overall record this season is 9-17. They have finished the 2020/21 ABA League journey at the 10th place on the standings.
