Crvena Zvezda has the best offensive rating in the world.
The Serbian team Crvena Zvezda Belgrade currently has an offensive rating of 160,7 in the Adriatic league, meaning that they score 160,7 points per 100 possessions. That’s the best in the world right now.
But there is more. Their eFG% (effective field goal percentage) is the 5th best in the world with 62,2, and they also rank 5th in TS% (true shooting percentage) with 68.4. No wonder that they are still unbeaten in the Adriatic league after four rounds.
However, these advanced statistics are very different when compared to Crvena Zvezda’s stats in the Euroleague. There, Crvena Zvezda (Red Star in English) only ranks 11th in offensive rating, 16th in eFG%, and 12th on TS%.
This means that the difference in level between the Euroleague and the Adriatic League is big. Much bigger than it used to be.
Back in 2003/2004, the Adriatic league had four participating teams in the Euroleague. Now, it is only one.
Nevertheless, Crvena Zvezda still holds Europe’s attendance record with 24.232 fans at a game.
