Crvena Zvezda Belgrade three peats KLS title
Crvena Zvezda Belgrade continued its ascendency and claimed the Serbian KLS title, giving the club a three-peat of domestic championships. An 87-57 cruise past FMP at home in Game 3 allowed the Red Star club to sweep the finals series 2-0 and complete an unprecedented third consecutive double of Serbian title and Adriatic League title.
This season, including an excellent EuroLeague run, Crvena Zvezda Belgrade has been one of the hottest tickets in Europe. The team showed it is currently high above other Serbian clubs in this perfect final series run.
Game 3, the hosts set a tone early by draining 30 first quarter points and stopping FMP at 9 points. Crvena Zvezda built on the lead with a 16-15 second frame, which made it 46-24 through the long break. The defending champs went up another gear in the third act, securing a 29-18 run that made the scoreboard read 75-42 through thirty minutes. With the title wrapped, the Belgrade giant eased through the fourth quarter to victory.
Ognjen Dobric topped the winning effort with 25 points, while Nemanja Dangubic secured 16 points.
Isaiah Austin and Aleksa Radanov scored 13 points apiece for a dismantled FMP.
