Clarence Matthews to San Martin
Clarence Matthews (201 cm, Tennessee State’07) is returning to San Martin Corrientes (Argentina, TNA) for his second stint with the club. The American with a Venezuelan passport has already had a busy start to the 2013/2014 season and the switch to Corrientes will be his third club this term. The small forward started the season with Uniceub/BRB/Brasilia (Brazil-NBB) where he played five games and averages 3.2 points and 1.6 rebounds per game.
Matthews then moved to Estudiantes Concordia (Argentina, LigaA) where he featured in three games and averaged 9.7 points and 3.5 rebounds per game. The 30-year old will now return to a Corrientes outfit he last played for during the 2010/2011 season. In that first stint with the club Clarence Matthews averaged 13.9 points and 7.2 rebounds from 10 games.
The Tennessee State graduate has also played in Chile, Colombia, Uruguay, and Venezuela.
