Burtt leaves Tofas Bursa

Tofas Bursa (Turkey, TBL) has parted company with American guard Steven Burtt (185 cm, Iona’06) making the 29-year old who also holds a passport from the Ukraine a free agent. Burtt had been playing well for Bursa, who he joined at the start of the 2012-2013 season. Up until now he had played 15 games in the TBL and recorded averages of 17.9ppg, 2.7rpg, and 4.2apg. In the Eurochallenge he was posting similar numbers, with 17.3ppg, 2.8rpg, and 4.8apg over his 8 games.

Bursa will now be on the lookout for a replacement for Burtt. The team is currently having an average season, sitting 10th in the TBL standings with a 6-10 record.
