Brandon Triche agrees with Bnei Hertzeliyya
Brandon Triche (193 cm, Syracuse ’13) inked a deal to join Bnei Hertzeliyya (Israel-Winner League). The move to the Israeli league comes after playing in the D-league this season with the Delaware 87ers and Salt Lake Stars. Triche was a newcomer to the D-league this season where he averaged about 7.0 ppg in just 19.0 mpg with both teams. His time in the D-league comes after missing the entire 2015/2016 season with a torn ACL.
Triche now heads to a Hertzeliyya team that is third in the Winner league standings with a 15-10 record. The Israeli team also plays in the FIBA European cup but are at the bottom of their current group with a 1-5 record. Adding Triche will boost the team’s depth at the guard position and give them another scoring option. The last time he played in Europe was during the 2014/2015 campaign with Virtus Acea Roma (Italy-Serie A). With the Italian team, Triche scored 7.8 ppg while dishing 2.8 apg in 24.8 mpg in the Serie A.
