Brandon Hunter heads to Entente Orleans
Brandon Hunter (201 cm, Ohio University’03) has left Israeli outfit Galil Gilboa (Israel, Winner-League) and is headed to Entente Orleans 45 (France, Pro A). The American forward was playing his second stint in Israel after he had previously played with Hapoel Midgal Jerusalem during the 2009-2010 season, for whom he played 14 games in the EuroCup with 9.2ppg, 4.5rpg, and 1.1apg.
However, after joining Galil for the 2012-2013 season, Brandon Hunter has not enjoyed the same success as his last time in Israel, although that could coincide with Galil’s poor form in the Winner-League. Hunter is well travelled, after previously playing in Germany (BBC Bayreuth, Bundesliga), Turkey (Aliaga Petkim, TBL), and Italy (Montegranaro, Serie A).
Brandon Hunter has also seen NBA action at the beginning of his career. He was drafted 56th in the second round of the 2003 draft by the Boston Celtics, and during the 2003-2004 campaign Hunter played 36 times at 3.5ppg, and notched up three games in the play-offs. During the 2004-2005 season Hunter played with the Orlando Magic where over 31 games he sported averages of 3.1ppg, and 2.2rpg.
